Here is where our conversation begins. We work to establish and define the Client-Planner relationship. We talk about where you are now, where you want to be in the future, and how working together can help you get there. We openly discuss what is expected from each of us, and if there is a cost involved going forward, that is disclosed at this point as well.

The conversation goes deeper here. Communication is key. We talk about many things which can include: family, health, hobbies, employment, money, debt, income, retirement, and much more. Everything that is shared at the table is confidential, but the more you share, the more accurate will be the financial plan.

Here is where you share with me, all of the important documents so that I may review and create a financial plan. These include: Investment statements, Employer retirement plan statement, most recent tax return, insurance policies and cash values, home owners policies, college funding, bank and savings account, etc. Again, the more information you can share with us, the easier the planning process will be.

This involves identifying the appropriate techniques for achieving your objectives, and sharing the financial planning recommendations and alternatives. It is at this point that we can also identify appropriate life insurance products, retirement plans and estate planning techniques.

Together, we implement the plan, using the assistance of other professionals as needed. Coordinating with your other professionals is key, and an important part of our job.

Here is where periodic review and revision comes into place. You share with us any life changes, and we monitor the performance of investments, as well as changes in tax laws and the general economic environment, making changes as necessary.
